OUR BACKGROUND
Antigrav Labs brings together data scientists, software developers and construction professionals. Our experience includes owning and running construction companies and engineering design consultancies.
That gives us a practical understanding of the decisions behind a construction business: what to allow for in an estimate, how to plan site resources, and how to keep pay and billing aligned with the work done.
We bring those questions into the way we build software. The analysis needs to be useful, the assumptions need to be understood, and the result needs to make sense to the people responsible for the work.
WHAT WE BRING TOGETHER
Running construction businesses and engineering design consultancies means seeing how estimating, site delivery and commercial decisions affect one another. That experience helps us identify the questions our software needs to answer.
Data becomes useful when it connects to a decision. In Buildcast, that means relating weather conditions to working hours, downtime and cost, while making room for uncertainty and incomplete information.
Software development brings the analysis and the workflow together. In ShiftStack, the focus is on connecting crew allocation, approved work records, pay rules and commercial rates through to payroll and invoicing.
HOW WE THINK ABOUT SOFTWARE
Our technical and industry perspectives inform both what we build and how it should be used.
How much time should a programme allow for weather? Which crews and equipment are needed next week? What should be paid and charged for the work completed? Those are the kinds of questions we start with.
A weather allowance depends on assumptions. A pay calculation depends on approved records and agreement rules. We aim to make those inputs and their consequences clear enough for people to review.
Plans change as work progresses. Recording actual downtime, reviewing timesheets and retaining a history of adjustments helps keep the software connected to the work on the ground.
CONSULTING
Alongside our products, our consulting approach starts with understanding how an organisation’s data, systems and processes fit together.
The aim is to bring that information into a shared foundation, ready to connect with useful tools and AI workflows. It starts with the way your organisation works and where better connections could make a difference.
WHAT WE’RE BUILDING
Buildcast and ShiftStack are nearing launch. Each addresses a different part of construction operations, with the same focus on practical decisions and clear information.
